The Goal: Taking inspiration from Milan’s architecture and Cortina d’Ampezzo’s stunning landscape, I aimed to complement both cities, embracing the winter Olympics, and to leave a lasting impression for anyone who would attend these Olympic games.
What I Would do Different: If I was asked to design for the 2026 Milano-Cortina Olympics again, I think I would continue my theme of using architecture and landscape to influence my designs, but I would go about it in a different way. The main logo references both the icy cold mountains and iconic Milan architecture but without explanationx it isn’t as clear as I initially indented.

A lot of this project involved me designing posters to not only promote the different sports, but also to gain interest into these Olympic games. The main logo is the primary feature in every poster, and depending on its use, can be a simple use of the logo, or it weave throughout the landscape to show that Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo are truly connected with these Olympic games.
The main logo is based off of the Teatro alla Scala’s rounded interior in Milan, and I interpreted that for my logo as the Olympic games being all around you so that you’re never missing out on any of the action.
Olympic design extends further than just promotional posters or event wayfinding signs, there’s also an entire digital side of things that require just as much attention. With them being a digital first format, it allowed for more experimentation with its design, and I could implement more of the Milano-Cortina branding colors into it.
Two e-mail campaigns were designed, one being a confirmation e-mail to serve as a reminder of the event you are going to see, and the other is an invitation to explore Milan and buy tickets for these Olympics.
